Just a question for you, JB.
I am not being antagonistic or rude, just wondering.
I, personally, abhore the stench of smoke; be it from tobacco, trash, or leaves.
I agree that it should be banned.
My father had only one lung and continued to smoke. It did not seem to bother him. He burned his trash and his leaves. He did not complain about the smoke or the particulates. But he was a very strong man.
But my questions to you are:
Do you have lung problems?
Do you have loved ones with lung problems?
Are people with lung problems complaining?
I am just curious about the other people who should be complaining about leaf burning and trash burning. I am not hearing from them.
BTW, I am getting ready to spend next week in my Cherokee grandmother's hometown of Claremore, OK, where the burning of trash and leaves is legal. Except when the grass fires are a real threat. Claremore, like MVN, really stinks.
If you want to see the effects of burning leaves and trash on the air we breath, jump on a helicopter and climb slowly up through 6,000 feet. You will be stunned at how dirty the air is down here where we have to breath it.
But wear good ear protectors as helicopters make a lot of noise.
