Latest news, just in....
Last Friday, the sheriff and the ex-jail administrator both took half a day off and without having to use a sick day or personal day, to go put out campaign signs. Legal or not legal, yeah everyone says, "the Sheriff " can do what ever he wants but is it right that he can campaign on duty and others aren't even allowed to breathe the word" campaign"???

It is better to not say anything than to open mouth and remove all doubt.

I would bet that what the Sheriff did was legal. Most police departments have a clause that says that an officer is always on duty. I would think that the Sheriff is always on duty and he can take a call at any time. So when exactly would he put up campaign signs?

I am not a supporter of his by any means, I just like to see both sides of the story.

I like both sides of the story too, ryno.

I bitch a lot about the size of the jail, unsafe equipment and manpower numbers, but that's not what irks me the most. I'm still hurting over that damn desk! I'm sure I don't have $10,000 worth of furniture in my house !!

I don't get even, I get odder.

If I may jump in here for a minute. From what I have read on these boards about Mr. Mulch's behaviour, I'd say he is acting in a very unprofessional manner. Now that is all I have to say about it.

Now see, I saw Jesus in the microwave the other night as I was fixin' my tryptophan. Now see, I think everything is going to be OK now. He spoke.

Well, let me tell you something-it shoudn't matter whether he is on duty or not because when he is supposedly on duty-he isn't. What I mean is, he stays sitting at that 10,000.00 desk and watches the camera that is focused in on a fellow candidate.
Pretty childish, I'd say. As far as squadcars, they are down to two squads now and usually about three deputies are patrolling during the day. There could be about five if the admin was working too. People, don't get alarmed if there starts being alot more crime going on, after all, these deputies may be a-foot.

It is better to not say anything than to open mouth and remove all doubt.

I had no idea that they were down to two squad cars. Amazing. Maybe the deputies can borrow those bicycles from the MVPD, might be a little faster than walking. Hopefully there is some state police around in case something does go down in this county.

Down to 2 squad cars?

Well hey, we could put some of those confiscated drug cars on the road if need be!

Even better, put some of those "white shirt" cars on the road. They sit out on the parking lot all day.

I don't get even, I get odder.
